    Absolutely delicious! This coming from a person who doesn't care for beans. Made it for hubby and ate just as much as he did. Had to make a few changes based on what I had in freezer. Used beef soup bones instead of veal shanks, used bratwurst instead of andouille, and omitted the ham hocks and carrots. I let in cook in dutch oven for almost 3 hours until the beans were tender, then I added the topping and put the pot into the oven. I also used chicken broth instead of water. This was a great dish.
