I'm from Hawaii and live in Texas now so I miss all these unique flavors. The BEST poke I've ever had. HAnds down. and...I'm a little nervous when it comes to raw fish. No probs here! Everyone loved it so much I made it again the next night. I made this with her braised pork from the same episode along with the daicon salad...but you can't eat Hawaiian without white rice and mac salad! What an authentic Hawaiian spread that my Oregon and Wisconsin buddies LOVED! I am a huge fan of her recipes now. Thanks Anne!

Great recipe but it looks like Anne took this recipe from the Maui Ahi Poke recipe from another site and just added Macadamia nuts. Not her original recipe

Being born and raised in Hawai'i, I thought this recipe was fantastic! Loved the choice of macadamia nuts, very island flavor. Reminded me of home :

I'm always looking for a good poke recipe, and this is as simple and tasty as they come. I'd recommend sticking with the 1/4 cup of soy sauce to keep the poke from being too salty (or maybe use low-sodium soy sauce instead of the full-sodium variety.
