I used milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet and used 1 1/2 sticks butter. Next time I will use just one stick of butter and maybe try the peanut butter chips. I salted the tops of a few after the chips went on which was nice. TIP: If you have a side-by-side freezer like me, opt to use 2 1/2 sheet pans as they will fit into the freezer - my large sheet pan didn't fit so I had to put it into the fridge for a while. I think pecans would be a lovely addition. This recipe is a keeper.

Tasty but I am underwhelmed, considering TY called this "crack" on tv!! I used semi sweet chocolate & it is kinda overpowering the other flavors. I also added some salt to brown sugar mixture, as I LOVE salty caramel flavored things. Didn't expect the floating saltines in the scalding hot sugar/ butter...re-adjusted them with a kitchen knife and all was well. I saw her make this in the show and that didn't happen to HER!! Lol!

I hope Trisha reads this review! We absolutely love this recipe! I made it with toasted, slivered almonds on top ALSO! My friends and family loved this variation too!
Thanks, Trisha for your great show and talented singing voice!

Although all the adults loved it....my 4 boys didn't enjoy the bittersweet chocolate. We just made another batch and used peanut butter and milk chocolate morsels instead and it is heavenly! The boys love it now too!

I tweaked this, although I cannot find fault with the original, it's yummy that way as well. I added just a little cayenne to the caramel, enough to elicit a nice, warm "something" in the background, proceeded with the recipe as written, and after having spread the chocolate, I sprinkled on both toasted chopped pecans and toasted flaked coconut. Naughty, but nice!
Thank you so much, Trisha, for the recipe! (And next time I might use Ritz Crackers....

I watched Triisha Yearwood's show with my 12 year old son Eddie one day, and saw that she was cooking with her nephews. Well, it is Friday and the kids are on spring vacation, and I thought I would try making her crack (my son and I loved what it was called. It was easy to make a very delicious. Worth making. Yummy. It makes a lot, so we all cansnack on it during the spring vacation. I will make it for Easter brunch.

It was extremely SIMPLE to make, took very little time, and it came out extraordinarily HEAVENLY.
I used Graham crackers instead of saltines, semi-sweet&white choc chips, & topped it off with a few sprinkles of Kosher salt to bring back that salty/sweet balance. I also used 1/2 the amount of brown sugar by accident and I didn't feel like it was lacking sweetness.
Will be something I will be making again.

All I can say is....OH MY GOSH!!! These are delicious and very, very, very addictive!!! I'm keeping mine in a Ziplock bag in the fridge and find myself getting into them every time I pass through the kitchen. Would highly recommend you try them!!!
