Mine came out tasting like toffee and was very sweet. I think if I make it again, I will add a splash of cream to the butter and sugar mixture to get a more caramel taste/texture.

Tried this recipe after watching Trisha make it with her nephew's. It was SO easy to make and SO good!! I used a 1/2 stick of salted butter and 1 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter because that's what I had on hand. The extra salt in the butter is not needed... It still came out wonderful! Next time I will try Dark Chocolate Chips... YUM!!! Thank you Trisha for this very simple sweet and salty recipe.

Yum! Easy and delicious. The taste resembles Almond Roca.

Euuuuu I made a double batch cause she sold it so well on TV - even the 10 and 13 year old boys don't like it - no I didn't burn the sugar - I followed the directions exactly. It's not crack - it's a waste of crackers and chocolate chips.

My son is in the 5th grade and he has to prepare and present a snack to his class tomorrow and explain how he made it, this was so easy and taste great. We will make this again.

Super easy and fast recipe. Trisha had it so right when referring to this treat as crack. Very addictive! Yum Yum!

My husband had caught her show last week on the chickenless pot pie - we tried it and it was very good! Today we watched her episode and said we HAVE got to make these! I had all the ingredients and even made a slight tweek to it. After the chocolate chips were melted and spread we sprinkled some Heath Bar toffee crunch. Now if only 20 mins could fly by so I can try them : I know my family will devour this in minutes!

I saw this episode today and had to try these Sweet and Saltines, as good as they looked? I think so!! The salty goes so well with the semi-sweet chocolate chips and the almost caramel taste from the brown sugar and butter is amazing. You don't need a candy thermometer to create this amazing flavor, it really is as easy as Trisha makes it look. Next time I make this fun treat I am going to layer it on top of Rice Cereal Treats for the ooey gooey texture combo. Delicious
