I came across this recipe a few years ago when it was published in a magazine and was so happy to find it, as a former coworker always made it but never revealed the recipe!
The episode was on today and like the Yearwood family, we call it crack! I altered my version just a little bit, using club crackers and sprinkling toffee bits on top (double the crack status. It's so easy to make and is always a hit with friends and coworkers! Thanks Trisha!

IMO, this is not the best version of this classic recipe. I had cracker candy at a party and loved it. In looking for a recipe I came across Trisha's version with brown sugar. The butter and brown sugar made too much toffee - too sticky. I'm going to try a version of this recipe with white sugar.

Very sweet, sinful & addicting! Makes a good amount AND yes!...butter is the ONLY way to go to ensure success! If your crackers are neatly lined up, after they're cool, you can cut them into bars..it definitely looks a little nicer. (I used 40 crackers lined up in rows of 8 on non-stick foil, then gently folded the foil straight up around the border edges of the crackers making sure they all stayed in straight lines Easy recipe! Pleases children as well as adults!

Addicting, Addicting, Addicting!!! I have added pecans and coconut. The trick is sprinkle the coconut on before the chips then spread the chips. Plus I add either pecans or walnuts. We had these over the Thanksgiving holiday, the family raved!

Absolutely addicting! Super easy - sometimes use half peanut butter chips and half chocolate chips - yummy
