This was my first time making this cake. I made this for Christmas for my family. The enjoyed it so much. It was very moist. I followed the recipe except for one thing. I added lime juice to the frosting. The color was great. Perfect for the holiday season

Got it in the oven and the batter looks amazing! Used Strawberry Lime margarita instead of orange juice and lime zest along with lime extract and juice. Can't wait to cut up the strawberries for the filling once its done.

honestly i never followed the recipe. i didnt want a cake with a glaze and i didnt have the gelatin so i substituted for lime tang and lime/lemon kool aid. tasted magnificent! but the centre fell because the gelatin wasnt there to provide structure/ the presence of tang. tried it again with the gelatin and with kool aid and MANNNN!!!!! TNE COLOUR AND FLAVOUR WAS GREAT

I made this tonight and it is absolutely scrumptious! It is so moist! Quite honestly when I tasted the key lime juice and confectioner sugar, I thought it was a tad too tart, but once it soaked into the cake mix, I could have closed my eyes and swore that I was eating Key Lime PIE instead of a CAKE! It is absolutely delicious!

I made this once and ended up making it three more weekends in a row. Everyone LOVED it and requested it for all the other get together we had. I'm sure I'll be making it again next summer a few times. :-

EXCELLENT!!!! I saw the oil content and said what the heck, my Aunt said that's what makes a cake moist. And this cake is very moist and delicious. NOT oily but DELICIOUSO! Try it and see/taste. Your taste buds wouldn't lie to ya.

Ms. Yearwood....it was a HIT...everyone loved it. I did not put all the glaze, just enough to give a a mild soaking. Not a crumb left...thank you and it will be a keeper...
