Trisha, this was so good and super easy to make. However, as most cooks do, I added my own twist. Not too much but a splash of Chardonnay and used 2% milk. Was so delicious!! XOxoxox

We really liked it. My brother and my daughter gave it two thumbs up (she wanted to take all the crust off the top. My brother didn't even notice it was vegetarian, he really loved the sauce and veggies. I didn't have a potato but next time I'll put it in. I had some leftover edaname and added that (so it added protein and we all like it in there. Delish. Thanks Trisha!

We thought this was very good. I used vegan pie crust (Immaculate and made everything else the same as Trisha's except that I cut the amount of butter substitute in half (from 1/2 cup to 1/4 cup. Because these were vegan crusts, I had to bake them at a lower temperature--375 degrees for about an hour instead of 425 for 35 minutes. I don't very often see vegetable based recipes on the food network and was thrilled to see this.

Incredible! Anyone, even a meat eater, who loves pot pie will love this vegetarian recipe, in my opinion. We just had it for dinner. I think the combination of vegetables in the original recipe works very well.

Dear Tricia-
I made it today, but substituted the veg. broth for chicken and put a cooked skinless chicken breast in. The next family gathering I will make a vegan version and a chicken version, to satisfy my family! I love you and your show! I just lost my Mom and it touched my heart that you have created so much of your show around Gwen, YOUR Mom!

Good, but much better with a home made crust. If everything is said to be homemade i am yet to see Trisha make a crust from scratch, also why does she say she doesn't like to spend alot of time in the kitchen? It makes no sense

This recipe is AWESOME! This is certainly a staple in my house. I'm a vegetarian but my husband isn't and he said it was the best he has ever eaten! I made it exactly like the recipe except I used "seasoned" flour. I did make my own crust. It came out PERFECT and so delicious. Thanks for sharing this Trisha, I love your show and I always look forward to trying your next recipe!

This pie was heaven. I did make changes. I used corn in place of the celery, used half & half in place of the soy milk and made my own pie crust. Very easy to prepare.

Great easy recipe! My husband is a die-hard meat fan but he even loved it. It's definitely the sauce that makes it delicious. I used real butter instead of substitute, the frozen peas I waited to add to the other boiling vegetables at the last minute. 15 min boiling time was way too long, mine were done in 10 or less. I had too much filling so I saved that as a separate meal without the crusts and very good alone too. Will def. make again!
