I entered in a cupcake contest with these cupcakes. There were two prize, 1 for taste and 1 for looks. There were three judges and one of them was once on food network. When they called up the winners I got awarded first place for both categories. I definitely would recommend this recipe to anyone! IT IS DELICIOS!

Very tasty and moist and tasted exactly like the ones from their store. Recipe yielded exactly 24 cupcakes - they poofed up and were beautiful during baking, but collapsed a little bit in the center after they had a chance to cool. Not sure what causes this since I followed the recipe exactly. The frosting did hide this though. I did have quite a bit of frosting left over so I will cut down on the frosting next time. What I love about the frosting is that it doesn't taste like that real sweet icky frosting that you get out of a can or the cake frosting made by the bakery at the grocery store.
Chocolate and coconut are a winning combination - family and co-workers loved it. I will make them again for special occasions as this is a time consuming recipe.
