AWESOME! Never made this as a Sammie. I make the steak & chimichurri & serve it with roasted golden potatoes. It is fabulous.

This may be the best sandwich I've ever made. I was a little leery about the chimichurri just because I had never had it, but it was fantastic! I did have to substitute flank steak for the skirt steak because that's what I could find, but they still came out so good! The only suggestion I would have is to cut back on the amount of olive oil in the chimichurri. It had so much "liquid" in it that you had to spoon it out of the bowl and smush it against the side to strain it out. But it had great flavor. I will definitely be putting this on my regular rotation of recipes!

I am so excited about trying this recipe! I love the idea of the Chimichurri...this is just the kind of sauces that I like. My husband and I really enjoy watching you, Jeff. The sandwich king was a great idea! can't wait until the next show...

I'm making this tonight! And, I learned something new...I didn't know pitas had a thicker side and a thinner side! Good to know!

These are delicious! One of the best marinades I have ever used. I used less oil in the chimichurri because it seemed like a lot and I would probably use even less next time, maybe 3 tablespoons or so, but I didn't blend mine like he did on the show. I preferred it chunky. I will definitely make these again!

After seeing this episode, I requested that this be my Mother's Day meal and without a doubt, this recipe is AMAZING! The flavor of the steak, creaminess of the cheese and the sweetness of the veggies was wonderful. We have leftovers of the steak and we will be using it for salads tomorrow night. Thank you Jeff for such a great (and easy recipe. Keep them coming....please. :

The steak was so delicious. I hate merinades but loved this one. Thanks, Jeff.
