Excellent recipe. I used this as a base but added a bit more brown sugar and cut the garlic to 3 cloves; marinated the steak about 45 minutes. Since it is February in Chicago, it was cooked inside on a grill pan on the stove, and brushed with the glaze several times. Boiled down the sauce, removed the garlic as instructed. I sliced the steaks on an angle and poured some of the glaze over it. Great flavor, slightly sweet with the whiskey flavor predominant. I will certainly be making this again, inside and outside on the grill. Highly recommend!

I just discovered the flat iron cut of beef! It's fantastic just seasoned and grilled - real beefy taste and extremely tender. This recipe is a perfect combination of flavors to really showcase the beefy taste. Very easy, very fast, uses ingredients on hand, and results are delicious!!
