Loved this recipe.....it was yummy, yummy, yummy, but the first batch I couldn't use because the dough was waaaay to soft. So the second batch I made I put the butter in the freezer for about 15 minutes (I think Jamie did that on the show.....not sure....nor does the printed recipe say to do that and took the egg directly from the fridge (didn't let it sit out even a few minutes and the dough was perfect. The lemon curd was also perfect. This recipe is a definite keeper!!!!!!

I saw your show yesterday and made the tart for a dinner party last night....OMGosh it was fantastic !!! I was at a friends with no tart pan available but I did find 2 mini tart-muffin pans so I made 18 small balls put them in the tins and chilled them. Then I pressed them out, put a little circle of parchament in each one and filled them with pennies since I didn't have beans or weights! They came out just perfect.I of course had to add my own touch so I used the zest(only had 2 lemons so I used the rest in limes in the curd and added a dollop of whip cream(also with zest to each one.The crust was soooooo outstanding I will be using it for other things like pecan tassies. They don't crumble so they are perfect to eat by hand! Thanks for the inspiration...love the show!!! XXOO Gay Crowe

My "lemon loving" friend was coming to visit from Dallas and I decided to make this without doing a trial run on my family first! WHAT A HIT!!!!!!!!!!!!
My husband, who also loves anything lemon, says "It is better than lemon meringue pie cause you don't to eat through the meringue to get to the lemon."
I even loved the buttery, flakey crust and I am not a crust lover! Thanks Jaime for your new show!

Marginal at best! Butter all over the baking sheet. Needed to cook longer.
