I did not like this sponge recipe at all. Too many eggs, it tastes like a sweet omellette. Followed the recipe exactly and it dipped in the middle.

I think those who did not like the recipe, do not know how to bake a sponge cake, once you beat the eggs and sugar, all other ingredients should be cerefully folded in, butter and milk should be alternated with flour, begining with flour and ending with flour.
the one thing I would change would be to reduce sugar to 1 1/2 cup, give it another try you might like it.

I followed the instructions carefully as printed. The resulting cake tasted too "eggy" and was denser than I anticipated. I wanted to make it into a jelly roll to disguise my cake but my family wasn't happy with it. At least the dogs liked it.

This was very easy to make(i usually make cakes from a box. Tastes amazing, and very easy to add to. we heated frozen strawberries with some sugar, poured it on top, then topped that with condensed milk. EVEN BY ITSELF,IT WAS WONDERFUL.
