    I love this meal - it's definitely become a go-to!
To make it vegetarian, we switch out the bacon for tofu!

Very tasty, and light but filling. You can eat up and not feel terrible about yourself after!

Excellent, easy, and filling! I modified a bit--using instant brown rice to save time, reduce carbs, and add a bit more flavor, as well as added some diced avocado as a topping. This dish would also work with cherry tomato halves, fresh jalapeno, or even cooked shrimp added at the end. I don't really understand why one reviewer hated this recipe so much... it is a keeper in our house!

Very tasty, quick and easy to make. I did substitute some chicken stock instead of water for the rice and removed the cilantro. It had great flavor - the jalapenos added interest and a bit of heat. Topped of with a bit of low sodium soy sauce and it was perfect.

I live in so cal, where international food is on every corner and Asian markets are plentful. I made this simple dish for dinner and it was amazing. The fried egg completely made the dish. The runny yolk made the rice creamy and delicious. I even used turkey bacon. A little sriracha on top and it rivals any gourmet fusion food truck.

My husband really enjoyed this meal. He said it reminded him of bi bim bop, one of his favorite dishes. Followed the recipe exactly, except I cooked the rice in a rice cooker. Won't make as much rice next time. I will be making this again. It is a good weeknight meal.

I have had rice bowls from Hawaii to NYC. I just don't get this one though. It was tasteless, a huge waste of produce and groceries. I really looked forward to a rice bowl type of meal and I did make several adjustments during the cooking according to our tastes but no amount of salt, pepper, scallion, sesame, bacon, jalapeno seemed to help this one. Sorry guys. The only reason this one got even one star is because I couldn't give my OPINION if I didn't rate it.

Was this good!! I was surprised how all of the ingredients came together and not one overpowered the other. the crunch and yolk from egg!!!! Oh my goodness. I heard someone at the dinner table say "Incredible!"
