My whole family loved this recipe. It was moist, delicious, custardy, and brunch fare. I ended up not having cream, so I used 1/2 cup of pumpkin spice creamer. This will be made again and again in our family. It is so wonderful to watch a "pioneer" chef who understands the availability of ingredients in rural areas but still makes great food. Thank you!

GREAT recipe! I made this for breakfast for 6 hungry teenage girls and it as a HUGE hit! I was good and custardy inside and crunchy and just the right sweet and texture. Thank you Ree!

This was incredibly delicious and easy! So convenient to put it together the night before and just pop it in the oven in the morning. That's my kind of easy morning entertaining! I used some Italian bread I had that was really on its way out, but this totally transformed it. Thanks, Ree! This is an excellent recipe! I will make it often!

This was so decadent and delicious! My husband who is not a big fan of sweets, loved it so much he requested it the next day. I used regular white bread because it was the only bread in my pantry; and I served it with homemade fresh whip cream. The results, YUM YUM YUM! So good!

5 stars! this is so much easier and less of a mess than original french toast. My husband even loved it, and he never likes anything different.

I had some bread that had become really hard and was going to get rid of it. Instead I wrapped it in wet paper towels, then tin foil and warmed it in the oven until soft again. Had to work fast so the bread didn't harden again. So glad I was able use something instead of wasting it! Great dish! Even my 18 month old daughter liked it! Thanks Ree!

Absolutely delicious!!! Ree you never disappoint. I didn't have any french bread so I used some hot dog buns that were getting a little hard and it was still amazing. My daughter in law thinks it's the best french toast that she's ever had. Thanks for sharing

Seems like this particular recipie should have more then 5 stars. Made this for Christmas breakfast. Super fast super easy. Super big hit. Made it this morning again with a left over loaf of French bread. This re pie is off the charts. Recommend it for company. On Christmas did not have room to put it in the fridge and since it is freezing here left it on the counter added the topping in the morning and put it in the oven and opened presents. Will try it with fruit one tmw but other then that atop 10 recipe.

OMG! This was delicious. I made it for a brunch party, and everyone raved about it. I don't normally like bread puddings, but this was fabulous tasting, and so easy to make. I will definitely be making this again!

Made this last night and baked it this morning. Used a loaf of cheap french bread and it was delicious. Only had 7 eggs so that's what I used but it tuned out great. Also substituted skim milk and light cream. My husband gave it a 10 and kept going back for more. Would be a delicious dessert and I can't wait until peaches are in season to try it with those baked inside. Will make this again for sure.
