This is a great, simple pasta salad to be enjoyed by all. I didn't have grape tomatoes, so just used roma tomatoes. I added a can of sliced black olives because we love them. I think this is a fantastic base and you could add anything you really like. We did not have any short pasta, called 3 friends and no one had any, so I made it with spaghetti noodles broken into thirds. I would have preferred a different pasta, but it worked and the kids loved it just the same!

My family and I are not normally fans of cold pasta salad, but decided to try this after seeing it on the Pioneer Woman show. We all enjoyed this, even my picky son. I agree with the reviewer who said the tomato amount is incorrect. I used 10 ounces of grape tomatoes and that was good, as 1/2 cup would not have been enough. It's a 5 star recipe when that correction is made.

Watched this Saturday. There is an error in the recipe. On the show she used 12 ounces of tomatoes not 1/2 cup.

Made it like the TV show and served it for a workshop lunch. One man said it was the best pasta salad he had ever had and asked me for the recipe.

On like most pasta salads this is best used fresh when you can smell the basil, onions and tomatoes. Good later too.

After I saw the episode aired, I wanted to make this right away. Had everything on hand and made it today. So good, the title should say Kid and Adult Friendly Pasta.
