    I make carrot cakes for a couple of family members on their b'days, their choice. I took this cake to my step-father's 81st b'day today and several said that they liked it better than my usual. There was quite a bit of icing left but I'm going to use it on pumpkin cookies this week. Definitely easier than the usual. Thanks Ree for sharing Sigrid's carrot cake. I love your show, you and your family. Keep up the good work. P.S. Watching your husband on the show is not hard on the eyes. :-

    Made this for my sister's birthday and she and everyone loved it. For me, the cake was too heavy (from all the oil. I will cut oil to 1/4 C and add 1/4 C water and 1/2 C sour cream--see how it tastes. The frosting was delicious, will add to my "repetoire" of home-made frostings. Love you Ree, have both your cook books :-D

    Made this tonight for my husbands family and it was delicious! It was a big hit, recieving A+ reviews from both grandmothers! Very moist! I did a basic (store bought cream cheese icing and topped with pecans to save on time

    I too made this for years, only added raisens and put in jelly roll pan. It is good and moist.

    I love this carrot cake easy to make and easy to eat. Made it today for dinner and everyone loved it. The frosting is so good. If anyone knows someone that loves carrot cake make this for them it's a winner.
