This was a good recipe. I'd probably double the beef portion next time. Great taste. Easy to make. The only off-putting issue is there's really not a step to drain the beef. I ended up with little red pockets of grease throughout the dish. And that was with spooning the meat over.

This was very good. I used almost twice as much beef as suggested. Glad I did. I made this for five kids and my hubby and I. H and I really enjoyed it as comfort food. Kids enjoyed it as if gourmet. Not something I would make for a dinner party but a fun week night dish.

This was fantastic! I made a few changes though: I added some sweet italian sausage and omitted the chili powder. I used extra sharp cheddar & monterey jack cheese instead of mexican blend. I really browned the meat, which made the meat crispy and added a depth of flavor with the tomato paste.

I also first saw this in the magazine and had to give it a try. We loved it! Hubby has requested it a few times since I first made it, so we're having it again tonight. I double the dish and it turns out great with plenty of leftovers. Like another reviewer, I thought the mac & cheese was some of the creamiest & tastiest I've ever made, and it would be great by itself.

Recipe was very easy, really tasty, and easy to modify depending on what you have on hand. The mac & cheese was about the creamiest recipe I've ever tried and I would make that part on it's own any day. This will definitely be one of my go-to recipes for dinner any night of the week.

Not sure what I missed but we didn't care for this recipe. Thought it completely lacked flavor. Also thought the ratio of pasta to meat was way off. Won't be trying this again. Not a good experience.
