These cookies are AMAZING! My family could not stop eating them. They are really soft in the center and crunchy on the outside. And the ginger / spicy taste is just right. I will be making them all year long.

Ginger crinkles are one of my favorite cookies, I have found that they turn out prettier with great "crinkles" if the weather is dry. Fall flat when the weather is humid.

This has to be the best ginger cookies recipe I have every made. Everyone loves them. I made them for Christmas and they are all gone already. Going to go and buy more ingredients and make another double batch. Excellent!!!!!

Wonderful flavor! I mixed the dough a day ahead to give the spices time to re-hydrate to increase flavor, then used my Pampered Chef medium scoop (2 TBs to keep them uniform, rolled them in raw sugar, then stamped them with the Mini Tart Shaper (so they look kind of like thumbprint cookies going in the oven, but they bake flat. They baked perfectly and were the favorite at our family's cookie baking party. Definitely keeping this recipe in rotation!

Delicious.I love it.Last week I used this recipe at the first time the battle came out very soft that could not make the balls.I drop it in to the sugar and it worked so well.Today I made it again and reduced vegetable shortening into 1/4 and add the flour 1/2.I am happy that it was good and I can make the balls.I baked at 350'only 5 minutes.Wonderful.I realy want you to see my cookies. Thanks a lot.

Delicious! I rarely review recipes but these were so good that I had to.

My only comment is that they were a tad too sweet, but I think I overdid the "roll it in raw sugar" part. Next time I'll probably only coat the top half of the cookies.

Otherwise they were definitely crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The dough had an incredible depth of flavor from the cloves, cinnamon, allspice and ginger.

Oh and it took me 2.5 hours to completely make and bake, but it was the whole rolling in sugar part that took so long. Hopefully I can cut an hour off this next time... because there will definitely be a next time!

Loved this recipe. The flavors were wonderful and the texture of the cookie was great. I really enjoyed the chewy center of this cookie & the crispy outside won me over! I cooked mine for exactly 9 minutes and they were perfect :
