Pretty easy to make. My very picky family liked this a lot. Too many onions in the gravy for them. I ended up spooning them out when I served it.

I also forgot to pound the chicken breasts and so had to cook for 45 min. but I used buttermilk (no eggs and italian 00 flour, a very light dusting. I also used Old Bay for the seasoning, but hon, I'm from B'more. It was SO good I would serve it this way, too, or stuffed chicken breasts, but need that extra cook time.

My mistake, forgot to pound, as a result i had to cook for 45 minutes, turn them over, and cook another 15. Even though I messed up, this was delicious! tender and juicy. I also used panko instead of flour and I used almond milk instead of buttermilk. delicious.

Excellent! I made two minor changes..maybe three. I took the advice from a prior post and added cayenne pepper. I also used Panko bread crumbs instead of the flour and I added just a few crimini mushrooms. The Panko made the chicken crispy which went well with the sauce.

My husband is a very picky eater and his comment was "this is the best chicken I have ever tasted". And that is saying something since I have been cooking meals since I was 9 years old, and everyone wants to come to our house for dinner or parties and holiday meals. Nice job, and we will definately use this recipe to help us loose weight and become more healthy eaters. Thank you!

this is really tasty! I add 1/2 tsp paprika to my flour, and use boneless, skinless thighs instead this is a regular meal here.

I have made chicken fried steak a couple of times before, and I never liked the results. It was always too chewy for me and not enough flavor. So I was hesitant to try this recipe out, but when I watched the show, Bobby made it look so good and he was using chicken, so I decided to try it. I am so HAPPY that I did. It was delicious and the use of chicken instead of steak makes a HUGE difference. It was not chewy at all, the dish had tons of flavor in it, and the gravy was soooo delicious! My whole family loved it! Best recipe ever for chicken fried steak -- or rather chicken fried chicken!
