Crispy but way too salty following recipe with 1 tablespoon of salt per cup of flour. I used sweet onions, but I doubt that would make a difference. I did not try the ketchup.

Crispy, Tasty, Easy, and fun recipe. The ketchup is a 4 star but the rings more then make this a 5 star perfect for home recipe.

Fabulous recipe, love the spicy ketchup. To Suzie, sriracha is a very spicy chili sauce that is usually found in the asian section of the supermarket. Look for a plastic red bottle with a green top and roosters on the bottle{no kidding!} But beware!! This is very hot stuff so you may want to be spare with it until you are sure if you like it or not. Once it's in something you cannot get that heat out!

Loved it! I used Red Onions instead and it gave a sweeter taste. The spiced Ketchup was amazing and now I use it for potatoes in the am and on taco's and whatever else you can use ketchup on!! Thank you Robert....your awesome! You and Gordon Ramsey are my favorites! I Love to cook and make my own recipes and I have had many say I need to open my own restaurant! Hopefully someday. My husband is a USMC 100% Disabled and I spend All of my time taking care of him! He loves your shows as well as myself! Congrats on your marriage and many years of happiness to you Both!

Sounds Yummy, have not tried them yet, but love onion rings, so I am certain they will be great. I just have a suggestion. I notice Robert uses "Sriracha" in the spiced ketchup. Not famililar with that....assume it is some type of chili or hot pepper powder, but not for certain. Perhaps Robert could go back into where the recipe is written and add a note as to what that is and where we could find it locally. Anytime a chef uses something out of the ordinary, that would be a good idea to make note at the bottom of the recipe. Thank you, am a loyal follower and love your show and chefs. Look forward to so many more recipes to come. Suzanne Byrd / aka....suzielovesbutter. Happy Sunday.
