We thought these were delicious! I only used about an ounce of the milk for the infusion, because I was worried about them being soggy, but next time I will use a little more. We had a TON of leftover frosting and tres leches mixture, so I will probably modify my amounts next time, so as to not waste ingredients. I will definitely make these again!

What A Flop!!!! Followed the recipe exactly. The batter was way too thin. When the cupcakes baked, they overflowed the pan and spread out around the metal pan until they all were touching and had crispy edges.....The frosting separated on me.....and way too much leche/milk mixture. I couldn't even get them out of the pan. I was gonna try to salvage them without the frosting, but I had to throw them in the trash! Even had to throw my 2 cupcake pans away as the sticky, crunchy mess ruined my pans! about $20 WASTED!!!!

These are absolutely delicious! I shared them with a friend of Latino descent and she was in heaven! I did have some frosting left over but used it later in the week. I will definitely make these again and my friend wants me to try the clan cupcakes, too!

I made mini cupcakes and baked them for 10 minutes. I followed the suggestion of only needing half the tres leches mix and frosting...true! : They turned out delish!! I made them up ahead of time and froze them! These sweet little bites will be perfect at my next party!! :

Made 4 batches of these for a party, and they were a huge hit. As previously mentioned, some of the quantities are a bit off- each batch made 22 cupcakes, and the frosting made enough to generously frost 11/2 batches - the milk mixture was just right. I injected the milk mixture one ounce at a time, and used several several insertions, which I think helped the absorption. The biggest plus was that these could be frozen (after frosting, but before adding cinnamon - so they were the perfect make-ahead desert for a big event! Had numerous requests for the recipe.

I too was disappointed in the results and do not feel they were worth the time and extra work. I agree with "elviequin" that the milk mixture and frosting made way to much and the cupcakes were dense and coarse. I will make one more time and will reduce both mixtures in half and carefully fold in the flour and milk. Also, I ended up with 20 cupcakes instead of 18 and I filled the cupcake cups almost full. I tried to find the video to see if I missed something in the preparation, but was unable to locate it.

I did not like them. I did not find them to be tasty, not worth the calories. I only made half of the recipe for the frosting and it was more than enough. I also found that using half of the milk mixture was also more than enough. I was disappointed.
