These were easy and delicious! I did cut the salt back by half and was glad I did.

I've made many versions of Monster cookies and these were delicious! I like the added crunch from the Rice Krispies. I mixed it all in the stand mixer and it broke up the cereal slightly and nobody even knew the secret ingredient.
I suspect the previous posters who found it too salty undoubtedly used regular salt instead of Kosher. That much regular salt would definitely be way too salty.
As with other comments, 10 minutes was definitely not long enough. I baked for 18 after reading other posts and they turned out perfect.

These cookies were awesome and so much fun for my daughters to make. I do agree the salt should probably be cut in half. I will definitely make them again!

Not my favorite cookie. I have to agree that they were too salty. Will not be making these again.

In reply to PPI about the flatness of the cookies. Cookies made with all butter are flat. Cookies made with shortening (Crisco are fatter cookies, more cake like instead of flat & chewy.
For cookies that are perfect for me, I use butter flavored Crisco in all of my cookie recipes. Works perfect every time. Hope this helps!

I made these today and noticed that the printed time for baking was 10 mins. I was sure Ree said on the show it was 18-20 mins. because they are "monsters". So, when I made them, the first batch didn't bake in the middle using the printed recipe. I tried the next ones about 18 minutes and then they were okay. They did taste yummy! I guess it was a misprint?

These were great! And despite the long list of ingredients, it was a breeze to throw together. I happened to have everything on hand to make them besides chocolate chips which I just left out. They came out perfect and my husband and son loved them! Had no problem with them being flat like another reviewer mentioned.

I made these cookies the day I saw the episode. I did not put in the M&M's or rice cereal. What I do not understand is why they came out flat. Anyone have an idea why so flat?
