I have made this recipe twice but this second time decided to make it as the filling for Chicken Pot Pie!! I made the recipe as directed and placed pastry dough over it and baked for 40 min. OH MY, SOOOOOOO GOOD!

Absolutely delicious!!! I never liked Tortilla soup because it was so watery, but this recipe is so thick and creamy! A real winner with my family. This will be a permanent recipe in my file and will be made often this winter! Thanks Trisha! Love the show and your wonderful recipes!

Tasty and easy. I used chickpeas beans and milk as that is what I had on hand.

This soup was delicious. I didn't have cream so I used milk instead and it was still very good. Can't wait to make it again with cream. YUM!! Thanks!!!

This is one of the best things I have had in a long time. I am a Bonus Mom also and I don't buy their affection I cook for them as well. We have a Christmas Parade in our town every year and this is going to be our new tradition on the night of the parade. Great Job Trisha !!

OMG, this is so good. I used rice instead of tortilla's, but this is one of the best soups I've made, definately a keeper. I added salt and pepper to season and a few dashes of hot sauce and used Ree Drummand's (pioneee womanResturant style salsa instead of the jar stuff. Yummy

Will absolutely make again. I did add a little corn starch slurry to make thicker, but excellent recipe. Not sure how "authentic" but really good.
