I really liked the recipe, my husband and I made it with the help of our 5 yr. old son and 3 yr. old daughter. We prepared the dough one day and the following day baked the cookies. They taste delicious! And we had a lot of fun decorating them.

These cookies came out so perfect. It was so soft, moist, and DELICIOUS, even though I couldn't get any allspice, you couldn't even taste that they were missing. It was my first time making gingerbread cookies and they came out so perfect. I was so excited and happy that they came out so good. Everyone else loved how it it tasted. Not too sweet, but ohh so delicious. Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

The cookie itself is not very sweet and perfict for iceing.
The pepper in this recipie ADDS a whole lot!!!
My mom would have more than one and not fell bad afterwards (she is one that is sensetive to suger if it where another recipie then she would have stuck to just haveing one at a time and probably only eat 5 out the batch in stead of 10 the iceing adds the perfict sweetness and is an exelent recipie itself it hardens fast and once it's dried ( about 10 min you can stack the iced cookies without messing them up ( unlike others
cutting and icing the cookies created a great activity for my 2 younger sisters
overall THIS IS THE RECIPIE that I will use year after year wich is why it is wourthy of a 5 star rateing

My 9 year old daughter and I just finished baking these cookies and they are by far the absolute best gingerbread cookies we have ever tasted. All the ingredients, including the pepper, blend together really well to make this excellent cookie. I am forwarding this recipe to my family and friends!

This is exactly what I want to eat when I crave gingerbread cookies. Not too sweet, nice moist texture. I actually used a little less molasses (just over 1/2 cup and added extra spices and it does have nice little kick. Makes scrumptious gingerbread men.
Good plain, or even better with a little icing trim and currant or raisin eyes and mouth.
