I, too, decided to make this for Thanksgiving after watching Paula Deen make it. I couldn't find frozen cranberries, so I used fresh. My husband and I aren't even dessert people and we kept eating it!! Told my daughter to "take THAT THING with you"!! She was more than happy to oblige. It was scrumptious!!

I added this to my Thanksgiving menu after watching Paula make it. I love cranberries and this was the chance to make something different for dessert. The cake was great although it took longer to bake for me too. Instructions should be corrected..if you didn't watch the video it reads as though the cranberries should be added to the batter...instead of over the brown sugar, butter, walnut mixture in the cake pan. I will definitely make this again. I think I'll even add grated orange zest to the batter next time since orange & cranberries go well together!

Great cake! It took longer to bake (60 vs. 40 minutes but that may have been due to the fact that my egg whites were not as stiff as I thought they were. Also, do as Paula did on her show, and add the frozen cranberries when you add the walnuts. Do not add in the batter. A delicious holiday cake that I'll be making many times!

I made this for a Church potluck last Sunday - a big hit. It was very good. I used a convection oven and the middle did not get done - my own fault. I think I used a few extra cranberries too. I had people come up to me and tell me I had to try that cake (they didn't know I made it That is the best indication you have a hit! Paula has done it again.

I tried this cake and we all loved the flavor. Not too sweet and a little tart. Was a big hit.The only problem I had was that my cranberries cooked up into the batter instead of staying on top like an upside down cake should be.Not sure what I did wrong but did as Paula did it on the show.
