Amazing turkey. Thank you so much Trisha. Since I saw this on the show I have made two turkeys--BY MYSELF! My husband has won three turkeys (so far from bowling, and I said, "what the heck, I'll try it and if it gets ruined, I can toss it." I had my daughter take pictures of the first one. Gorgeous and brown. Delicious. I'm still amazed...and I tell everyone about it. I love the show.

OH MY! I have never taken the time to write a review but you need to know this is the easiest, moistest turkey I have ever prepared and eaten! I wish there was a picture of the turkey because mine was beautiful and brown which was surprising. The only change I made was I didn't buy an expensive roasting pan. I bought one that cost $11 and the results were great! We usually throw out the turkey after the main meal because it is so dry. We ate very bite of this one!

I could not believe a turkey would cook that way. When it was done I sliced and deboned the bird.
Poured some of the pan drippings on it and covered with foil until the next day. Then reheated in the oven while the dressing cooked. It was great. Thanksgiving day was the easiest I have ever had...no waiting on the turkey to come out of the oven to put something else in.

Followed Trisha's directions and to insure success, even bought the Kitchen Aid roasting pan she used in her show (Amazon. The result was fantastic and will be my go-to method for cooking a whole turkey in the future.

My husband and I made this for Thanksgiving and everyone said it was the best turkey they ever had . I cooked a 12 lb.turkey and a small butterball turkey breast with it covered it with foil and the lid, so good we will cook our turkey this way from now on.We deboned our turkey and put it in a electric roaster with drippings and extra broth and took it to my daughters and reheated in the electric roaster the meat falls right off the bone. Thanks Trisha!!!

This is the only way I will ever cook a turkey again. Was so easy and took all of the guesswork out of the process. I roasted two turkeys before Thanksgiving, removed it from the bones and poured broth (made from the drippings and carcass over the meat and froze until Thanksgiving. I think the butter in this recipe made the broth taste extra good. I used the broth for the stuffing and the gravy and have some broth left over in the freezer for some great turkey soup.

Best Turkey - Ever!!! This recipe is a winner. Thanks for sharing it with us. There is no way this can fail. Very easy, very moist and having the oven on for just over an hour is a bonus. I added fresh thyme, sage leaves and a garlic bulb cut in half to the cavity. The result was delicious. I was concerned that the lid on my roasting pan did not fit tight enough to seal in the heat, so I wrapped foiled over the top and sealed the lid seals. Perfect! I will never roast a turkey any other way!

This turned out wonderful. I was surprised. I kept wanting to look but I didn't. I had to borrow a roasting pan to do this but I will be looking for one of my own. Do you have any suggestions on what to buy? My husband said it was the best turkey he had ever eaten. Thanks again. Love your show!!!!!
