This recipe was a big hit and easy to fix. My husband who does not really like asparagus loved this recipe and told me to flag it has a keeper.

Best asparagus I have ever tasted. I semi-cooked the bacon to render some fat prior to wrapping the asparagus and they turned out delicious!!

I used center cut bacon to try and get the meatest bacon but it still was not crispy. Amazing flavor of sweet asparagus and the bacon was good even though not crispy. I did spread the bacon out in a single layer over the asparagus so it could cook evenly. Next time I may try pre cooking the bacon so it might crisp up a bit.

I made the recipe as directed and thought it turned out great. It presents very well. However, I think I would make this differently next time. I think I would prefer to eliminate most of the bacon fat by cooking the bacon separately as another reviewer suggested. The brown sugar butter sauce is delicious. I think I would use it to baste the asparagus while it's roasting on a cookie sheet and then serve some warm sauce with the asparagus, sprinkled with crispy bacon and then toss it all quickly in the warm sauce. So, I will tweak this recipe a bit to eliminate the bacon fat as much as possible.

Loved this dish, saw it on TV and my kids wanted it the same night for dinner. Every bundle was gone and they still wanted more.

Delicious! Who knew all I needed to do was add bacon to a vegetable to spark interest in teenage boys?? Such an easy recipe to make and adds a great flavor to any meal. We made this for the first time at Thanksgiving, but have since had it quite often. In fact, it has become a favorite side dish at Casa K :

Love this recipe but in an effort to be just a little bit different it's also tasty in a deconstructed form of prepping the asparagus, then laying in a single layer in a cooking spray coated casserole dish. Pour the the same sauce mixture over and roast in the oven as directed. While the asparagus is cooking, cook 6 to 8 slices of bacon til crisp in the microwave and set aside. Crumble and top the cooked asparagus just before serving. If you want to be really fancy you can also add some fine chopped almonds or toasted walnuts for extra crunch. Picky people and mothers-in-law seem to really like this!
