I had to drop a star from this cake only because it was TOO BIG! After I assembled it, it was almost a foot tall. Granted, I used an 8-in round pan, instead of the recommended one, but still - way too much cake. Delicious and easy to make. And as an added bonus, I just turned it into two cakes, so my friend got one and I did too! Definitely worth making.

I made this cake for a birthday and it was a complete hit! Besides the wow factor in looks, the chocolaty deliciousness was in every bite. My personal favorite part was the fudge sunday frosting. I did put wax papaer over the ends of the cake to help retain the moisture on the open ends. It really helped since I don't have a cake cover that tall!
