I made them and froze the appetizers. When I took them to my parents, the family loved them. I just recently made another batch. They are in the freezer waiting for my next dinner guests. Tasty with the cheese as well as the brown sugar. Easy and delicious.

This is great receipe for the bacon lovers. I made it for a party and everyone loved it. Being able to put them in the freezer is a great way to have a little nibble for those times when people stop by to say hello..

Okay - so you can't eat like this every day.... but I have had a holiday party every year for 3 years. Appetizers and desserts only and I always get complements on everything I make. But until last night, I have never had anything disappear as quickly as these did. I even made 2 batches, one of the parm & one with brown sugar. Everyone loved them, including my VERY picky husband. My daughter liked them so much she has already requested them for her birthday.

Saw this on the show yesterday and thought they looked like the perfect thing to bring to our Christmas open house this week. I made a sample batch last night and they are awesome. The parmesan is great but the brown sugar is downright addictive! They were also very easy to make. I used a cookie rack over a pan (like the recipe says and I had NO problem with greasiness. I used regular bacon too. I also lined the pan with foil so clean-up was easy. I tried them while they were still warm so my biggest worry now is if they will taste good after being refridgerated overnight and then letting them warm-up to room temp.

If you've never tried turkey bacon, do so...it is good, cooks up crispy, and is tasty. It's about the only low-fat food item I can say I like. That will solve some of the grease complaints. This is a good make-ahead item, my kind of recipe.

Alright y'all. I made the brown sugar and parm versions of these tasty treats and they were a big hit. I had the same problem as some of the other viewers, namely all of that grease. I cut each piece of bacon into four smaller pieces (instead of in half and stretched each piece out so that it would fit nicely around the crackers. That seemed to work and hopefully minimized some of the grease but I think next time I make them I am going to put a cooling rack on top of the cookie sheet and placed the wrapped crackers on the rack so that some of the fat can drip down into the cookie sheet instead of seeping into the cracker. Just a thought. Other than that, they were scrumptious.

They were pretty good but the cracker absorbed all of the bacon grease which kind of grosses me out. I did some with parm and some with brown sugar. I only baked them for 90 minutes and they were cooked well. 2 hours would have been too long in my oven.
