I'm not a huge fan of ground turkey and have tried a few different recipes with it and this is by far the best one! I was very impressed with this dish. Really nice flavor, not too spicy, and pretty healthy especially when you sub in brown rice. Only changes I made was adding edamame and forfeiting the pickle because I simply didn't have any. Great recipe!

I love the flavor of this recipe! It's not overly Asian tasting and more like a spicy hamburger, which I happen to like. I had leftover ground turkey and cooked brown rice, and I used frozen cut green beans, which I charred in a hot pan for a few minutes to lightly brown and cook before I added everything else, I omitted the sugar and the vinegar (because I forgot to add it and added double the soy sauce and chili-garlic sauce. After I thickened the sauce I threw the rice in to reaheat it. I also used chopped dill pickle because I've never been able to find half-sour pickles here in Minneapolis.

I couldn't ask for more, healthy, quick and delicious. After reading the reviews, I bumped up the flavor with a few Asian sauces I had in the fridge: a drizzle of sesame oil, a splash of fish sauce and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Is it just me or did the addition of the pickle sound odd? I did not add it, nor do I think I missed out on flavor by skipping the addition.

As written I thought this was a little bland, but if you add five spice, it helps. It is also rather good as leftovers for a couple of days. I may change up the leftovers by adding a little nam prik pao and basil, or whatever strikes my fancy. The recipe is like a blank slate you can customize to your own taste. I will make this again! I like it with storebought fresh yakisoba noodles, and have eaten it as a "noodle bowl" dinner, and it was very satisfying and tasty the next day. Loved the technique with the green beans, which really worked well. I preheated the broiler with oven door closed for quite a while and the beans charred nicely in 8 minutes.

We really liked this. Next time, I would use broccoli. That's just a personal preference for me and my husband. The only change I made was cutting back on the chili paste by 1/2 teaspoon. I wish I hadn't. It would have been the perfect amount.

It doesn't seem like the turkey and green beans would work with the Asian spices but it really does! Super quick easy and not to mention inexpensive meal to make, as long as you have a stocked pantry. I will absolutely make this again. One note I would say make sure to add your broth mixture before the green beans to the turkey, otherwise you loose the nice crispness of the green beans, if you like them that way which I do.
