I made these and they were a hit! Delicious and beautiful. I can't wait to make them again for Valentine's gifts.

I made these for the first time also knowing they would be time consuming. But luckily I had all day on a rainy Saturday to do them for a holiday cookie swap party the following day. These cookies were a huge hit, and if I do say so myself, the best cookies at the party. I made them exactly as the recipe called for except I used freshly grated nutmeg. I agree that the raspberry jam goes really well with the almonds in the dough. Definitely had to do them in batches because of the number of cookies this made. These cookies are delicious!!

I saw this recipe being made on t.v. and decided to make these. I love linzer cookies and knew they would be somewhat complicated to make. I like how the recipe is honest with you and tells you what to do in order to make your life easier. I wouldn't say this is a difficult recipe; it just requires being prepared, and having someone help you is nice, too. The trouble is totally worth it because they taste fantastic! Also, if you give these as gifts, the receiver will know you put a lot of love into them.

Really delicious cookie. These have always been a favorite of mine. The recipe is easy to follow...i definitely recommend reading it through BEFORE hand so you have an idea of what you're doing in regards to assembly of this cookie. I did not have heart shaped cookie cutters so i used the round side of a water glass and the smaller side of a shot glass. Worked VERY well.

I thought this idea was perfect for a Christmas gift for co-workers!! I did have a few snags, one being finding cookie cutters of the same shape with a smaller size - however I did not let this stop me, thinking out side the box a bit I use the same heart shape but used a tall shot glass to simply make the second cut out and it worked out great. Also I used a coffee grinder for the almonds for my cookies and had left over so
I use the almond dust like the powdered sugar on top!! Hope others enjoy this yummy recipe!!
