Outstanding....I followed the recipe to the letter and it turned out perfectly. Thank you Trisha for sharing..This was my first time to make any kind of candy. I do think I stirred it more than I do when I make a roux for my gumbo but it turned out to be worth the effort. Thanks again.

Holy Moley what a great recipe. One of the other reviewers plovell gave it a bad review but I think he/she read the recipe wrong. It takes 1 stick of butter in the recipe. The other 1/4 stick is for buttering the pan and I think they accidently put it in the recipe and it was too soft after that. I did make sure to keep stiring and watch the butter incorporate really well before I started pouring it into the pan. Mine was great, I used parchment paper rather than butter the pan so it is easier to break up now. I will have to hide it from my husband so I have some left to give away.

No problems, easy, For the person that had chewey results. I found out one yet at a costly expense you have to use good sugar like Domininos not a store brand. It make a huge difference. My fudge, brittle and other item never harden etc. Since I brought Domininos never had a problem. If you are going to take the time to make these special items, spend the money for quality items. Some of the sugars are not cane sugar but beet sugar. Like the old saying "You get what you paid for"

I have made several of Trisha's recipes and all of them have been amazing except this one. I was worried that maybe the recipe is wrong online. I made it exactly as directly indicate and my brittle was very chewey and stuck to teeth. I looked up a bunch of other peanut brittle recipe and all of them have said anywhere between 2-3 tablespoons of butter and this recipe shows 3/4 cup butter. I was wondering if maybe it was too much butter. I have never had any problems with making brittle and wanted to try a new recipe. Did anyone else have that kind of problem?

I've never made peanut brittle before but my husband used to get a batch every Christmas from a family friend. Sadly he passed and my husband has been without his special treat for many years. Thanks for putting on such a special recipe - you have revitalized and created a new family tradition for us! Solid and Delicious recipe! "Addicting...", says my husband!

Thank you for this easy recipe! My dad was always big on peanut brittle and every time I tried to make it, it always came out wrong! This recipe is easy and delicious! Thank you!

I made this along with the peanut butter balls and my favorite fudge recipe and gave candy dishes to a close group of friends who gather every year for a holiday dinner. Everyone loved everything, and this peanut brittle was a big hit. It makes us all wonder why we only make it for the holidays! I will probably use a little less butter on the jelly roll pan next time -- it definitely broke apart easily from the pan but was a bit greasy on the bottom. The recipe is perfect and very easy!
