Took a bit longer than one hour to assemble. I used box mix and only 1 cup of maple syrup (only needed half a recipe and it was amazing. Truly a feast of the sweet and savory. What a great dish!!

Oh man, a lot of work. Better off making everything seperately and just eating that way. It was too overly sweet as a first meal of the day. Also too rich for my taste, after two or three bites I felt full and not in a good way!

Like many others, we had this for our Christmas morning breakfast. I also halved the recipe and with the bacon and sausage, I just took out a package from our freezer and cooked that up so I am not sure the exact amount actually used. Also, we just used scrambled eggs. I actually prepared everything except the eggs Christmas Eve while preparing all of my holiday goodies so it was really didn't seem to labor intensive. I just got up Christmas morning, cooked the eggs and layered everything. This is definitely a special occasion recipe but well worth it.

Meh... it was good, but VERY labor intensive. I don't think I would make it again. It took over two hours. You could achieve the same result by stacking pancakes, meat and eggs on your plate and serving with the maple cream sauce. It made WAY more than the recipe suggests, so I have more left over than was eaten. It was just okay for me.

A new holiday tradition. Although, I made half the recipe and even then, I would make half of sauce as it was very heavy and flavorful. I ended up freezing half of the sauce. Oher than that, GREAT!

DELICIOUS... what an excellent concept!!! As the previous 6 reviews have said, it was made for Christmas brunch and was a huge hit. You can modify the amount of certain ingredients according to your tastes. We had real Vermont maple syrup on hand at the table to drizzle on each serving. There was plenty left over for the next morning. A breakfast to warm you up on a wintry day! 5 stars without hesitation on this one!!!

Made this for xmas morning and it was a huge hit. A few tips from my experience: I only made half the maple bechemel and still had plenty left over to drizzle on after it was served. I used light cream instead of heavy cream it still was a very rich sauce. I only used about 15 strips of bacon and it was more than enough for that layer. I also chopped up the bacon into 1 inch pieces so it wouldn't pull away as i cut the individual pieces to serve. I made the pancakes a day before and that worked out fine, but i bet you could assemble the whole thing the night before. i also did not blend the scrambled eggs with cream i just scrambled the eggs and used them like that for the egg layer. All in all i stayed pretty true to the recipe and it came out awesome. Would definitely make again.

Prepared it this morning for Christmas. This was a huge hit! I pretty much kept to the recipe but used my basic multi purpose pancake mix. We loved the contrast between sweet & savory. It will certainly become one of our "crowd pleasers". It is very rich and will serve a small army! Very pleased!

Outstanding Breakfast or Brunch dish. Prepared it for Christmas morning and it was a big hit.
We are more of a savory prone family, so I renamed it Breakfast Lasagna and excluded the Maple syrup. To cut down on the time on Christmas morning, I also subbed in good bread instead of pancakes.
I placed syrup, hot sauce and ketchup on the table for personal condiments. Nobody touched any, they liked it so much. I think I'll try some leftovers with hot sauce, but this is a keeper. I might experiment with a half the ingredients recipe for a weekday dish, where I make the bechemel and sausage the night before breakfast, so all I have to do is crisp up 15 paces of bacon.
