First let me say I omitted the bacon plainly because I feel weird eating different meats at once. But I loved the flavor of the butter on the skillet and how it tasted going from skillet to oven. Delish and I will make again. Stick to the 1-2 minutes for browning - mine burned a tad on one side because I didn't think it would be long enough. I used Omaha filets which are amazing anyway...but yummo!!!

I didn't know you could cook it in the oven like that! Great for us New Englanders who don't want to grill in the snow! Thanks! Love your show!

Love, love the steak prepared like this. My husband prepared this for our Valentine dinner. Much better than using the grill.

Very tasty! Not sure that I will ever grill another steak. Best "at home" steak I have ever put in my mouth. Delicious!!!

Very easy, very good. Made for Valentine's Day... easy to do on the stove/oven...didn't want to run between grill & stove for all the other dishes. Will make again, but need to probably brown the sides of the steak to cook the bacon a tiny bit more...

Excellent and easy! My husband cooked it for an early Valentine dinner and it was a real treat. He bought a filet that was thicker and just used a meat thermometer to be sure it was cooked to
medium- rare the way we like it.

piece of fillet wrapped with bacon.
