We liked the flavor, however, it was ALOT of meat, and very dry!! Maybe 1/2 the hamburger next time. I also exchanged the cottage cheese for ricotta, like a few of the other reviews suggested. I added more noodles than called for also. But over all it was very dry!!

Nothing to write home about. Lasagna is expensive to make and if I am to make one, I would like to have a "knock it out of the park" recipe. Of course like others, I tweaked a little so in fairness, I gave a GOOD rating. I added another garlic clove and I replaced the cottage cheese with 4 cups of ricotta. The dish was flavorful, but I think it would benefit from a sauce of some kind because it seemed rather dry to me. The diced tomatoes do not give enough flavor. Perhaps diced tomatoes with garlic, a small can of tomato sauce, and the addition of some diced onions would lend to a better final dish. I will probably try again with those changes. You will need about 10 lasagna noodles.

I unfortunately made this for my in-laws and it was a complete disaster. Some of the reviewers said I should taste as I go which I did. The problem is even if the components taste OK th final package did not. It was very bland and the cottage cheese was a huge mistake with my family. I admit that I am young. I have found lots of good recipe on the food network which have been tested. I follow a recipe exactly the first time so I get it right. I was devastated at how poorly this one turned out when I served it.

This reminded me very much of my mom's Lasagna and it was a hit here. My cottage cheese was a little too liquidy so next time I may add an extra handful of parmesan to firm it up some. Flavors were very nice!

This is a great recipe. Similar to my own in that I always use cottage cheese because I hate ricotta. Those that say this is bland need to understand that everyone's taste buds are different. Every cook knows that you are supposed to taste test while you are cooking. So if it didn't have enough flavor for you then you should have added extra spices that you know you like while preparing the ground beef. That is what I always do. And even add some extra seasonings to the cottage cheese mixture if you like. Work with the recipe. I think its fun when you can put your own twist on something. My lasagna has not only mozzarella and parmesan but also cheddar with I personally like.

This is similar to the lasagna my mom made for me when I was a kid. My husband does not like ricotta cheese so he prefers the cottage cheese. I also spice my tomato sauce to my taste so I didn't follow that part of the recipe.

This recipe was amazing! My husband hates lasagna, but he loved this! I don't understand why people are saying it was bland, when I made it, there was tons of flavor! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
