Delicious. Made great leftovers by putting in a ceramic dish and covering with a pie crust.

I am very new to cooking well. But I tried this recipe, and was it not only easy, but it was wonderful. The roast turned out so tender it was falling apart and the vegetables were very tender as well. It was a big hit with the whole family.

This was an amazing recipe - great flavor. The only problem I had was that the roast was completely done before I could add the vegetables. If I had of cooked it any longer it would have fallen apart. I had to cook them seperately and was disappointed because I was looking forward to them being cooked with the roast. Great gravy and the leftovers made delicious burritos!

I followed the directions to a 'T' and the roast cooked way too fast. After 2 hours the roast was overdone and I had to cook the veggies separately. Good flavor, but time was way off.

This has all the makings of an excellent recipe but we cooked it according to the recipe and it was done in half the time, therefore it dried up all the juice and we had nothing to cook the veggies in. I'm sure it would be good but the time must be wrong. Is it supposed to be in a crock pot?

We've made this recipe over and over. You can be flexible with the vegetables you use. When it's summer, don't be afraid to throw short pieces of corn in or summer squash (towards the end of the cooking time. This is one we cook all year round!
