This has so much flavor, it was relatively easy to make, and it tastes so creamy and rich, it is absolutely delicious! Very different dessert, and very delicious, tastes like a dessert you would find in a gourmet restaurant. If you like flan and you like cheese cake, you would love this recipe!

We loved this flan. It took a little longer because the carmalization of the sugar took a little longer but the flan mixture was easy to prepare. I put it in one large dish so it took a little longer to bake but it was well worth it. The flan is unltra creamy and my husband says "this is a keeper".

Made this for my New Years Eve party. Was disappointed. The prep time is more like 45 min to an hour. The caramel was easy to make but did not pour into ramekins so well. I have been making flan & cheesecake for awhile now, & thought the combo did not make the cut. I now will try to find two separate recipes I adore to incorporate together to hopefully achieve what I thought I was making today.

I don't know what all the rave reviews were about. This did not turn out well for me.

The recipe is delicious. I added more water to make the carmel. Other than that it was great!

Agnes.. This receipe doesn't not actually call for carmel in the list of ingredients but the first steps in the recipe using the sugar & water is what actually makes the carmel!!
