My family enjoyed it but could not find the dixie fry coating in our stores so I used Kentucky Kernal coating and added your seasoning in it. Love to get more chicken recipes from you. Thankyou

This was surprisingly very good. It wasn't greasy with the frying and the crust on the chicken was very light. Thank you

This was such a great recipe. I made my own simple gravy though (butter, flour, chkn stock, salt and pepper because I just simply can't stand the jarred stuff. My boyfriend went crazy over how moist the chicken came out! I will def. be adding this recipe to my go-to list!

I really enjoyed this recipe! I did feel like the cooking times were very off. It took me roughly an hour to make it, but was WELL worth it! My chicken cooked about 10-12 minutes on each side and I left it in for 20 minutes to simmer. I used Emeril's Original Essence seasoning to give it a little extra kick. Off-brand chicken gravy worked just fine for me :

I am making this dish tonight because its rainy and cloudy. I was trying to figure out what my co-worker and I going to have for lunch. This smothered chicken came to mind. I use the McCormick's fried chicken seasoning mix and bell's seasoning no salt. Being though I am in NJ it's hard to find the exact seasoning but not impossible. People it one more try, it comes out perfect every time and yes I take all the credit. I love you Sandra Lee and thanks again!!!!

The cooking times on this are way off. It took more like an hour to get done, then had to microwave it to finish it off. Would rather just make regular fried chicken.

I made this recipe a few months back and am making it for supper tonight. This its soo easy and great tasting too. I made a small change i used heinz gravy instead and breaded my chicken in egg and flour and changed around a few seasonings but it was still absoulutely amazing. My husband called home from work lastnight and asked if we could have it!!!!

I made this tonight for my family. It turned out wonderful! We did not have any problems with greasiness or with it being too salty. However, I do not know which products the other reviewers used but I could not find any of the specific brands listed in the recipe. I bought a generic store brand chicken fry breader. I could not find the Mccormick seasoning in salt-free so I used Mrs. Dash salt-free chicken seasoning. For the gravy I used the Heinz classic chicken. I drained the pan and drained the chicken on paper towels before putting it back on the pan as recomended. This definitely cut back on any greasiness that might have been. Overall the dish was very flavorful. Chicken looked great. No problems here.
