I made the pie it turned out beautiful. I would make it again but leave out the lemon. I thought that taste came through too much.

I absolutely loved this pie. In fact I had guests choose this pie over chocolate! The recipe is very easy. It was sweet enough for me but I did add some other spices to the sweet potato mixture to make the flavor a little more traditional.

The absolute best sweet potato pie I've ever had! I omitted the lemon and the pecan topping, and used the whole can of sweetened condensed milk and it came out wonderful. Just the way a real sweet potato pie should be!

I made this pie last night. It was pretty good, however I had to add a little sugar and cinnamon to make the sweet potatoe mixture more flavorful.

I had never made or eaten sweet potato pie, but I am a huge fan now! My family loved it and I am planning on serving it for Thanksgiving this year. The lemon is very tasty! It was really easy to make!

I was appalled when I saw this episode and heard Reggie claiming to have come up with this recipe. I've personally been cooking this dessert for years. I found the recipe in a "cajun cookbook" that has a copyright from 1979. The recipe is almost identical to the one Reggie claims to have "come up with" on the show. Shame on you Reggie for taking credit for something you only ripped off of someone else.

I made this even before seeing her make it on the show because it looked so good! I had never had sweet potato pie before, but had always wanted to try. I was not disappointed! So rich and yummy! I made it a little healthier by substituting fat free half-and-half for the heavy cream.

I agree with other posters - why doesn't Reggie have his own show? He is so natural in front of the camera and engaging. I would definitely watch him. Hey Food Network - just because they don't win doesn't mean they shouldn't have a show! ;

I watched this episode and decided to try out the recipe for a pot luck at my job. My husband actually made it and all I can say is that the pie was a huge hit. It was completely eaten in like 5 minutes. People took slices home for their spouses. We made 2 smaller ones instead of one and I left one at home for my family. Me and my husband finished the 2nd one in like a day and a half. lol. I willd eifnately make this again and soon too.
