This is a great recipe or variation to share onions. I substituted whatever onions I had on hand and roasted them just a bit longer (often I find the timing is off on the printed recipe. Oops, I may have added a little more garlic. Very tasty and easy to do...

Really good !! Only used one big red onion and cut back on the olive oil, since it doesn't agree with me, but very tasty and different way to use onions as a side dish. Will make this one again and it was easy, too !!

I made this last night along with the chicken piccata and buttermilk mashed potatoes. The entire dinner was delicious and the dressing for the onions was so yummy, it would also be delicious on many other foods.

I am completely in love with the vinaigrette in this recipe; I'm going to be using it on a lot of things. (I've already tried it with roasted portabellos and it was incredible tasting. I can already taste it on fresh crisp greens all summer long. But back to the onions...recipe was easy to follow, the onions caramelized nicely and the taste was sublime. I want to try making a dish of these and top them off with some bread crumbs and cheese!

Thank you Ina. Please don't ever stop creating in the kitchen. We love you!!

This was absolutely the most wonderful thing I've tasted in a long time. I paired it with a chicken piccata, but not Ina's (which I regret now. I used one red onion and two sweet onions, because sometimes me and red onions don't play well together. But that was the only change I made. I also loved the fact that even serving this at room temperature, the taste was great! I can't wait to pair this with something else, just not sure what. New favorite side dish. Thanks Ina.

I made this tonight to serve with Ina's Chicken Piccata. The onions were amazing and SO easy to make! This will definitely become a staple side dish at my house. It might be good on pizza or focaccia bread too...

The onions were very sweet. A pleasant surprise for my husband, who was a bit skeptical. Super easy to make. Will definitely stay in my recipe box!

One of the best things about these onions is that most things are already on hand in your pantry... The only things I bought were the onions themselves, the fresh thyme and fresh parsley. The onions were delicious, I have already recommended the recipe to multiple people. Definitely give them a try!

I love the succulent taste of the roasted onions. The lemon juice adds an unexpected but welcome zip to the onions.

Even my husband loves this dish. I make it all the time now. I was afraid the onions would be too "onion-y", but they are sweet.
