The recipe was fairly straightforward and easy to follow. The crust was lovely, nicely textured and flavored, and easy to roll out. I had to make the pie without rhubarb, as the rhubarb I bought did not seem fresh enough to use. (I must admit, I'm not at all familiar with the appropriate texture and water content for fresh rhubarb. Overall, a really nice pie - though I do wonder if cornstarch might have made a better thickening than the minute tapoica.

This was my first completely homemade pie! Great crust recipe and the filling has a delicious flavor. I didn't have tapioca on hand so I added some corn starch instead. I also made the filling a couple hours ahead of time and the maceration from the sugar made the filling very liquidy. I poured it all in the crust, which was probably a bad idea. The pie turned out rather soupy, though I will admit I didn't let it cool enough. Also, PUT A COOKIE SHEET UNDER THE PIE! My filling started oozing out and burning on the bottom of the oven. What a smokey mess! All in all, the recipe is great, just don't make the same amateur mistakes that I did.

This is the best pie I have ever made! My family absolutely loved it! When I gave two slices to my in-laws, my 13-year old got upset with me so I had to make another one! I will hang on to this recipe for sure.

I used a store bought crust instead of making it homemade and added nutmeg and vanilla bean to the filling, and it turned out great! I also, after reducing the heat, only left it in for 40 minutes which proved to be perfect!

pie tasted great, but it didn't set right, it was more like soup with a crust. I followed the recipe exactly, I don't know what I did wrong, any suggestins?

Great recipe! I used my own recipe for the dough, but used the filling in this recipe. It turned out great. Also, it's hard to find fresh rhubarb around here, so I used frozen rhubarb and strawberries and it still turned out wonderfully. It's one of my new favorites.

Made this for a cookout, and everyone loved it ... even people who thought they didn't like rhubarb. I used the ready-made rolled up crust, and skipped the tapioca (only because I didn't have it on hand. This one is definitely a keeper.
