I'm not a pie connoisseur but this probably was the best pie I've ever had.

This was outstanding. I plan to use the dough/crust recipe for other pies as well.

This is the most delicious recipe for strawberry rhubarb pie I've ever tasted! This recipe is perfect in every way and needs no alterations. It has the right balance of sweet and tart you'd expect in this kind of pie. The crust is perfect. I have received rave reviews from everyone who always ask for the recipe. A scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side is a perfect complement!

This recipe is great, but it needs more sugar! I made 2 pies because I had a lot of rhubarb. But it was not sweet at all. The filling and crust need a lot more sugar, and the filling needs more lemon. Otherwise, the crust was unbelievable!

Best pie I've made. All the guests and my husband raved, and they can be a tough crowd. I used a store bought crust. I actually forgot the butter and it was still awesome. I added a cup of fresh rasberries. I made it in the a.m. and served it in the evening and it wasn't too runny at all. I was concerned about the amount of sugar, but it was perfect. If I could give it more stars I would!.

Mmmm....thanks for the tips everyone. I read them all. I too used a store bought crust for this. The flavor was divine--the subtle use of spices and the dots of butter account for this I think, plus I also used fresh organic strawberies and organic sugar. I used tapioca beads where it called for them. And instead of the regular flour I used tapioca flour. Worked fine! Plus I found out that to avoid runniness, HOLD OFF on cutting til next morning. My late-night piece ran, but next morning pieces did not--that is if you can hold off.

I made this pie today and it was great! My husband(who says he doesn't like rhubarb loved this pie. I tried using 6 TBLS of cornstarch as per one review and I think I will try more next time. My pie was very juicy. The crust was very good also. Overall, this is a really good pie. I will keep this recipe in my recipe box.
