the description of steps was incomplete, the taste a combination of bland and gross and it made enough for 14 people - don't waste your time or money

I followed this recipe exactly. The banana that you add to the sweet potatoes had such a strong taste that it overpowered the whole dish. I would recommend just using a little sugar instead. Also with peeling the sweet potatoes and all the chopping the prep time and even cook was much longer than stated.

This was a great use of turkey leftovers. I also used regular russet potatoes and omitted the banana as Im not a fan of sweet potatoes. Would make again, thanks!

The only item that needs to change in the recipe is the banana. I would think about substituting some brown sugar for sweetness

I used a pound of ground turkey for this recipe (and lessened the amounts of the other ingredients accordingly. As others mentioned, it does not say when to use the gravy, but I poured it over the meat/veggie mix in the baking dish before I added the potatoes. A very tasty dinner!

Very easy to make, we all know that cooking a huge meal the day after Thanks- Giving is not an option. I was pleased with the simplicity and great flavor. I will keep in mind for left overs for years to come!

This casserole was delicious! I was afraid to add the banana but I will try it next time. Make sure you add the gravy to the meat before you top with the potatoes. My husband said I could make this EVERY week! It really was good!

this was perhaps the WORST recipe i've had in my entire life!!!

being married to a brit expat, i've eaten many a shepherd's pie. i've made many, as well. i've even made them with turkey, chicken, veal, and/or a combination. however this recipe is VILE!!

the only saving grace is the idea of mixing bananas into the mashed sweet potatoes. however, the addition of cheese to this makes it inedible! i wound up throwing the entire dish away, no one would eat it, not even the dogs!!!

As some have pointed out having seen this episode would have helped with not just the gravy portion of this recipe (when to add the gravy but also the the diffrent ideas on how to use left- overs from Thanksgiving. Just chop up or grind up or use turkey cutlets instead of the ground turkey and then add everything else...just like most of her recipes its ment to be yummy, quick and funoh and easy to play with...Goodluck!! Comfort food at its best...yummy with either reg potato or sweet try doing both.
