    This recipe was AWESOME!

    I track calories so this recipe has WAAAAY too much butter. I suggest using a quarter or less the suggested amount for anyone who's used to limiting their butter/oil intake.

    I never eat anything with that much butter in it - I found it greasy but of course I still liked it. It just doesn't really need all that butter. There are so many other great flavors.

    As mentioned it is a bit on the wet side but I didn't mind. Next time I will reduce the liquid a bit. I agree with the past reviews that the leeks sounded like a lot so I used 3 large ones. Also, I fed this recipe to 7 hungry adults and 4 kids and there was some left so like past reviews mentioned, the serving size is generous to say the least.

    Love that there are so many veggies and the amount of bread in it was fine with me. Great reviews from 3 generations of family at Christmas dinner. I will make this again next year (with less butter of course, lol.

    I made this stuffing for Thanksgiving and everyone thought it was the best stuffing they had ever had. Only problem was I had NO leftovers! Recipe is easy to follow - only thing i did different was added some extra fresh sage leaves as i looooove sage. Will def. make this recipe one of my holiday staples!

    This made a really good dressing, but it does make a HUGE amount! Way more than the six servings listed. I also halved most of the ingredients and used one bag of stuffing and a little bit of extra bread cubes. I used fresh cranberries because I didn't have dried. That worked fine. I ended up using about 4 cups of stock/water. Very tasty, but I had enough to freeze almost half for later use.

    Ok, but there was really nothing easy about it. It took me way more than 20 minutes to do the prep. After all that work, I was expecting it to be fantastic, but it was only ok. I also think the amount of ingredients was way off for serving six. If stuffing was the only thing on the menu, maybe, but that's not reality. I followed the recipe and it made a huge amount of stuffing. We had 8 for dinner, and had plenty of leftover.

    This stuffing was a hit!! I agree with a previous poster; you only need about 3 leeks max that must be a typo. And you will need a very large skillet to manage to saute that volume of ingredients at once, i had a heck of a time... next time i will use a wide but shallow pot. This recipe is a keeper!! Absolutely delicious.

    It was by far, the best stuffing ever! After years of making a Carmelized Onion and Cornbread recipe that I knew people loved, I changed it up. Why, because my beloved husband informed me he did not like cornbread in stuffing. I searched and searched and decided on Robert's recipe. Well it was so good, do delicious. Everybody just went nuts. I followed the recipe to a t except I already had opened some Chicken Broth with exactly 2 cups left. Rather than opening up a new container of vegetable broth it was not a sacrifice at all. I was also a sceptic of the leeks and I can tell you now that I am a believer for sure! Leave the foil off while you bake. I made this early, early this morning. It was covered in the fridge (after the prep on the stove but before baking from 7 am to 2:30 pm. I put it in my oven as I was taking out my gorgeous moist turkey(Alton Brown... You are a genius 350 for 45 was just perfect. Michael, your recipe rocks and it was a lot of fun to make.

    This was absolutely the BEST stuffing I have tasted in my whole life!!! I was a little hesitant last year when I saw the ratio of veggies and apples to the little bit of bread in the recipe, but I just couldn't ignore all of the great reviews. So I tried it, and WOW! I'm so glad I did! One note, though: it will make enough for at least 10 people. AND, 12 leeks does NOT add up to 6 cups- you really only need 2 or 3 MAX. I think that was a typo in the recipe. I am soooooo looking forward to making it this year for all of my extended family. They are so set in their ways, but soon they'll be won over like me. Just try it- it'll knock your socks off!! ;
