Right up there with comfort food, I just love this....so simple to make...I thought how is this going to be a pie without the crust....did not even miss the crust, the taste was great. I'm making two more, just the way the recipe calls...no additions needed...Thank You!!

I made this pie yesterday and wanted to eat half of it then! Easiest dessert I have ever made. The variations are unlimited. I used lemon zest and a drop of lemon extract as well. Any extracts can be added as well as the vanilla. I plan to put coconut in the next one and melted chocolate chips and call it an Almond Joy pie. I do not believe it has too much sugar. Light versions of biscuit mix are available. Because I have more buttermilk and lemons, I'll make another one and freeze it.

Easy to assemble, and good, especially warm. I cut back on sugar as SOP, try 1 cup and see if it isn't better.

This recipe sounded so good I had to try it. I followed somebody's advice and used Splenda. Mine tasted really good but it came out a little flat and didn't brown on the top (only the edges. I think next time, I'll use a 8" pie plate. That should help create a little more height. Don't know what to do about the browning.

THis is a delicious recipe. I also added 1 cup of toasted coconut to the recipe, tasted like a coconut custard pie, but sooooo easy!! Thanks for a great anytime recipe!

I absolutely love buttermilk pie.I have not tried this recipe, but I have made many buttermilk pies. It is a sweet dessert no matter which recipe you follow. Keep in mind that changing ingredients may change the texture of the pie. I have had trouble before with the pie being too liquidy while the top of the pie is beautiful. This could be from possibly not following the recipe or a problem with the oven. Make sure that the oven is hot and everything is done as the recipe says. After the pie cools it should become a custard-like smooth texture. They are so yummy! I wish you all the best with your pies! Hopefully this helps.

I have never had a buttermilk pie before, but after watching the episode this was featured on, i thought i would give it a try. I love it! the only thing I did different was add a little cinnamon. I read the reviews prior, and in my opinion I didn't think it was too sweet. On the otherhand, I have super sweet-tooth, so my opinion my not count as much. Will I make this again? Absolutely. I'm glad I found this recipe. Its an easy recipe to make, and a tasty desert.

This has the tang of buttermilk, texture of custard, & is also satisfying
