It is so hard for me to find a venison recipe that I love, I often end up smoking it and putting it in a stew or chili or whatnot, but this is soo soo good! If you are a first time venison eater, try this!

This recipe is hands down my fav way to prepare venison. The cinnamon smoke flavor is a perfect compliment to otherwise gamey meat. The flavor tames it. THANK you Emeril for a GREAT recipe!

I always have venison in my freezer and I am constantly looking for new ways to prepare it. This is one of my new favorites.
The carmelized onion gravy is wonderful. It really complements the venison quite well. Also, I smoked the venison in my Weber barbeque with the cinnamon sticks and the cinnamon flavor permeated the meat. It worked perfectly.
The sweet potatoes were unbelievably good. I'm a huge sweet potato and bourbon fan, so that goes without saying.
Great recipe. Try it... You'll like it.
