If I could give this a 4.75 I would. It was very tender and delicious but I felt it needed a little more acid than the wine. Next time I will add some red wine vinegar, perhaps 1/4 cup or so. It made a great Sunday dinner with mashed potatoes and brocolli and a salad.

Rave Reviews! This is my go to dish to impress! When you want big taste and big flavors this is what to make. Serving over risotto is the finishing touch that never ceases to amaze my guests. Tyler makes cooking these short ribs as easy as it is. Go for it!

This recipe is fantastic! A very low maintenance meal, and it turned out perfect. The only thing I added was a sprig or two of fresh rosemary. I want to make this again for sure!

These short ribs turned out great! The only change I made from the original recipe is that I browned the meat in the same dutch oven pot that I cooked the whole meal in. I didn't use a separate grill. Cooked mine for 2 1/2 hours and turned out just right. I will definitely be making these again. Very easy recipe - once it's all in the pot and simmering there is very little attention needed. The horseradish sauce also on this episode went really well with the meat.

I have been making short ribs for years and trying many different recipes as a started point. This by far is the best! Everyone loved these. A couple alterations/additions helped add a deeper / layered flavor . . . I rendered some bacon in my dutch oven and then browned the short ribs in the bacon fat. The add a little olive oil (don't need much and place the thyme in the oil for a bit before adding vegetables. I added about a tablespoon of tomato paste before adding the liquid. Also - I added a sprig of rosemary and few more thyme sprigs before cooking for the 3 hrs. It was wonderful - fantastic complex flavor!

Love this. I added soy sauce instead of salt, and it's so yummy with rice or mashed potatoes. I don't often cook meals that require 3 hrs of cooking time, so I made a larger batch. Glad I did -- we are so looking forward to leftovers. Thanks, Tyler!
