Great appetizer , I doubled the recipe and added 1/2 a cup of coconut milk and 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, then I marinated it over night. Delicious!

I was a little worried about the reviews that said this recipe was bland, so I added a little more red pepper flakes, maybe a 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, and 2/3 tablespoon or so of Dijon mustard. They were a hit! A food processor really sped things up. I've also tried it with salmon, because crab is somewhat expensive, and it worked really well. Although people liked the crab better. This is a new staple for my entertaining menu! Plus, you can make things easier by preparing the salad the day before and it almost tastes better.

I thought this was too expensive with the crab meat and so NOT worth it!! The flavors are bland and not what I expected from the other reviews (most people gave it a 3-4 stars!!! No way would I ever make this again!

First one or two I wasn't sold on - but then my husband and I kept going back until they were all gone! I guess they were hitting the spot!
Easy, fresh and healthy. I'll keep these in mind next time I need an appetizer.

I made these for a gallery reception at my daughter's college and they were gone in less than 5 minutes! Everyone loved the fact that the wonton cups were baked and not deep fried. After reading some of the other reviews I decided to make the dressing the night before so all the flavors could marinate. It was excellent - the perfect amount of heat to offset the sweet mango. They were so easy to make and I will definitely make them again!

I made this appetizer for a cocktail party that I hosted at my house this past weekend, recieved mixed reviews, some people liked it and some said it was a bit bland. After I taste it myself I do agree the dressing was bland, so next time I'm going to add a little cajun spices and dijon spicy mustard. I used Phyllo dough instead of wonton wrappers, the people loved the Phyllo cups it was much lighter and crisper with out having to deep fry and worry about fat. Overall great light appetizer just needs more flavor added to the dressing!

I made these wonton cups for my husband for a light dinner the other night...and he LOVED them! Which is really saying something, since he is an extremely picky eater. They were easy and tasted great. My husband said he would like the wontons fried, to make them 'light', but he surely doesn't need any more fried food in his diet. I did use high quality, never frozen, fresh crab. Next time I will add some avocado and little bit more red pepper, since we like spicy food. Last night, I used Ellie's dressing recipe, and added rice wine vinegar. I chopped some celery, onion, roasted red pepper and garlic, and mixed it with 2 cans of albacore tuna. I poured the dressing over the tuna, mixed it well and served it over red lettuce, with garlic butter toast. That was a hit, too!

I too was disappointed with this recipe. It was just way too bland. I am making these again for an appetizer and am adding a jalapeno pepper to zip it up a bit. I think that will help add some flavor to the mix.
I also didn't make the wonton cups the first time around but served it with some taco chip scoopers. The saltyness of the chips did add a bit of interest to the crab salad.
I used pre-prepared tropical fruit cups from the produce department of my supermarket because I wasn't happy with the mangos. This fruit mixture had mango, papaya, pineapple...it was a happy and easy alternative.

these are easy and tasty. Everyone loved them when i made them several weeks ago. I tried them again tonight, without marinating them overnight, and they were not as flavorful. I suggest marinating them overnight for ultimate flavor. I will make these again!

The ingredients for this recipe are pricey and it turned out a little plain. I loved the concept with the wontons but the filling was nothing special. I even added more spices then the asked for and everyone at my party thought this was just ok. Would not make it again.
