Simply fantastic! A huge hit at our NYE 2013 Party. I had to sub a few ingredients. I used pomegranate flavored red wine vinegar (found at Meijer and brown sugar/water to sub for the molasses. It worked well! I will definitely make this again.

Yum! This salad is amazing!: I found the recipe two months ago and have had made it probably six times since! I use more lettuce; I fill up a salad bowl with enough lettuce needed per serving sizes, then top off with apples, cheese, and walnuts! I add another Tbsp of honey, candied the walnuts, and use gorgonzola because my family doesn't like bleu cheese! I found the pomegranate molasses at While Foods; they also sell it online at Amazon! Definitely try making it...you will LOVE it:

After not being able to find the pomegranate molasses even in specialty food stores, I discovered a simple recipe for it from Alton Brown on the web and made it myself a few days before the holidays. It was easy and no doubt much less expensive than buying it retail. I will be making this superb and easy salad from now on. It's a fantastic salad for all occasions, even just for a simple healthy meal for one.

This recipe is wonderful!! However, I omitted the pomegranate mol from recipe (did not have but added dried cranberries, left walnuts raw and cut recipe in 1/2 as only my husband and I. It was still fabulous! My husband told me to add it to "the list"!!

This is a great recipe. What a great combination of textures and flavors. I loved the vinaigrette. I found the pomegranate molasses at an international grocery store. It was in the Middle Eastern section. It smelled wonderful! Albuquerque is notorious for being a difficult city to find anything out of the ordinary that is not an ingredient for Mexican or New Mexican food. I was thrilled to find it. Well worth driving all the way across town for. Bobby does it again!

As others have done made the pomegranite molasses from Alton Brown, and followed the recipe exactly, just seemed to be missing something I added more salt and 2tbsp more of honey, still seemed lacking in flavor so I added some fresh ginger that seemed to help but not alot. It sure is fun to try new things tho:

My love for Bobby is now undying. This salad is amazing. I'm eating it right now and without the greens. The apples, nuts, blue cheese and dressing alone are out of this world. The most incredible, layered flavor! The dressing is so soft, sweet and delicious. I couldn't find pomegranate molasses, so I made my own following Alton Brown's recipe for it. Easy! Thank you Bobby for the most fabulous, show stopping salad EVER. I entertain quite a bit and this is sure to be a monster hit at my next dinner party.

Love this salad! It was served at a holiday party that I attended a few years ago, and I just had to get the recipe. I have since made it several times, and it's always a hit. I usually add some pomegranite seeds to the salad. I use Alton Brown's recipe to make pomegranite molasses.

Made this salad last night and it was absolutely fabulous! I used honeycrisp apples. The pomegranate vinaigrette is sooooo good I will be using it on all types of salads in the future.

I made a few changes and took it to a staff party where it was a hit. Everyone thought it was delicious and pretty for a healthy dish. Instead of hunting down the pomegranate molasses, I reduced pure pomegranate juice with a little sugar until reduced by half and a little syrupy. I also added more spinach than in the recipe and pomegranate seeds. They added pretty red color to the salad.
