Great, simple recipe but thought it was WAY TOO VINEGARY..... we made a 2nd batch with 1/2 water and 1/2 vinegar and the combo was just right. Super tasty.

I love this recipe we use it all year round and give it as gifts during the holidays. We did add one change we substitute half of the cranberries for goji berries abd we find that the goji berries in the recipe help counteract the tryptophan. Thanks for sharing this new family classic

Everyone at Christmas dinner LOVED this! I mean really loved it - insisted that it go in the folder for next year. When I made it and tasted it I actually considered just eating it all myself - it's that good. Tangy, sweet, deliciousness.

I love Nigella, she is a Goddess of the kitchen. As a chutney virgin I followed this only substituting hot curry powder for the turmeric, cumin and coriander We like spicy in our house. Easy to make and very tasty.

This has way too much vinegar in it. I had to go back this morning and read the recipe again, just to make sure i hadn't made a mistake.

I made this last year and received rave reviews - especially from my English mother-in-law. I plan to make it again for this Christmas. And, I can say that the shelf life is very long since we eat it well into the winter months.

I make several chutneys, this is one of the very best! It goes with ham, lamb, duck, goose, turkey and even chicken. This one is also very high in antioxidants, especially if you use raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar. The purpose of eating chutney with meats is to aid digestion, while eating something that tastes good!

Does anyone know what the shelf life of the chutney is?

For blessed sake, people! This is a place to rate a tested recipe, NOT FOR ANYTHING ELSE. It is not a place to illustrate your incompetence, to vent your personal frustrations, or to comment about anything other than the RECIPE AT HAND. AND, BTW, the chutney is great., though I twaeked the spices just a touch for my family's taste.
